Outing to Douglas Victoria BC for our Club Social Day.
Saturday 8th June 2024
An excellent day of fellowship and great hospitality was afforded to our members and friends when we travelled to Douglas Victoria BC for our Social Day. We were treated with the usual Douglas hospitality on arrival with a drink , Strawberries dipped in chocolate and other goodies. we played promiscuous bowls, had fun and games followed by an excellent repast provided and served by Tom Kirkland & Robert Barcley. Our thanks goes to President Billy Smith of Douglas Victoria BC and his members for an enjoyable day. The theme for the day was to dress up from a musical film and several of the Douglas members appeared as Nuns (that included the men) from 'Sound of Music. Not to be outdone I am pleased that our ladies' got into the mood by appearing as 'Pink Ladies & John Travolta' from 'Grease' (Linda Harley, Betty Braidwood and Carlyn Smith) and also Linda Sneddon who appeared as Liesl from 'Sound of Music'. see photos
